Need a instant update on the weather forecast or stock market for the day? Many helpful iOS-apps have found the way to Mac OS X 10.10 'Yosemite' desktop and can be found in the systems Notification Center. If you have not used the Macs Notification Center before, click the three lines icon in the upper-right corner of the menu bar to open it; those with modern Mac laptops can take a two-fingered swipe to the left from the right edge of the track pad.
The Notifications Center is divided into two parts: Notifications and other is Today. As with earlier versions of OS-X the Notifications tab shows the recent mail messages, social media posts and website updates on their app.
The newer Today tab offers several widgets that resemble the Weather,Stocks and Calculator apps for iOS.
